Update: Spill release from Daisy Lake Dam ended at 9am, Friday 29 Jan. Cheakamus River levels expected to return to normal

BC Hydro advised that they would be releasing water from Daisy Lake from 12:30 on Thursday, January 28 2015 to manage the high inflows from recent and ongoing rainfall. Total discharge was projected to be up to 220 cubic m/s. The Cheakamus River was expected to rise, but not to such a degree that will warrant flood alerts.

The spill release activity is now complete, as of 8:50am on Friday, January 29 2015. Flows on the Cheakamus will return to normal.
